The Urban Rift story......
The founder of the band, DJ, explains the the name, Urban Rift, originates from the idea of breaking away from the norm, creating a Rift, people empowering themselves to rise out of banal Urban conformity, "Don't follow the Sheep " - a line from the Rifters track Spin!

As a band the idea was borne before the Pandemic, which delayed it’s development, but slowly and surely the band line- up formed in the shape of DJ, Matt, and Mike during the Pandemic in late 2021, and Debbie completed the group in early 2022.
​
Since then, the Rifters have found a sound, worked up a great set and started gigging in and around West Yorkshire. In 2022 they recorded their first EP at The Voltage Studios in Bradford with the fab Tim Walker of Ghostdance fame.

The Guys n gals have been busy creating a website, a music video and getting out and about with more and more live gigs.
They are having a blast enjoying writing and playing their own Dynamic Original Alternative Rock Music!
